Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026.
Cookies are small files a site can store in your browser. This page explains how Fan Signal Desk uses them. The short version: we use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, ever.
Cookies we use
Analytics (optional, off by default). If you accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) and Microsoft Clarity sets its session cookies (_clck and _clsk) to measure which editions and links readers use. They are set only after you accept. If you decline, none are set; if you withdraw consent using the Cookie choices link in the footer, existing analytics cookies are removed.
We set no other cookies: no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no social-media cookies unless you click through to those platforms.
Embedded videos. Some editions embed a YouTube video in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which is designed not to store cookies unless you play the video. If you press play, YouTube (Google) may store cookies from its own domain under Google's own policies, not ours. Not pressing play keeps the page cookie-free on our side.
Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Cookie choices link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site works without them.

How this fits our wider data handling is set out in the Privacy Policy.
