Ohtani's game-worn shoes sell for a record $440,055

No single community broke out today, so an auction block does the leading: three fresh records, headlined by Ohtani's Tokyo Series New Balance shoes clearing baseball's footwear mark.

Nike's Chelsea 26-27 retro third jersey shown in official images, on sale September 2026

Footy Headlines has posted official product images of Nike's Chelsea 26-27 third jersey, a retro lifestyle piece that leans hard on the club's late-90s and early-2000s look: a blue base with fine white and red pinstripes, a shield-style crest, and a looser long-sleeve cut down to a period-accurate Nike tag. It is part of the authentic 26-27 third kit collection and lands after the third kit itself. Footy Headlines says it goes on sale from September 2026, so there is time to plan.

Adidas Bayern Munich 26-27 third kit surfaces in leaked promo images

New promotional pictures of Adidas' Bayern Munich 26-27 third kit have leaked via @Bundesleaker, reported by Footy Headlines. It is a dark navy and purple base with reddish-orange detailing and an abstract graphic that nods to Bayern's European Cup history, including the 1974 title, finished with a monochrome textured crest. No on-sale date is attached, so treat this as a reported leak rather than a brand announcement.

Ohtani's Tokyo Series game-worn New Balance shoes sell for a record $440,055

Shohei Ohtani's game-used, signed New Balance Ohtani 1 shoes, worn in the opening game of the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series, sold for $440,055 at The Realest, a public auction record for baseball footwear. The sale drew 89 bids and is the highest result in The Realest's history. It nearly quintuples the old baseball-footwear mark, Michael Jordan's $93,000 signed 1994 Birmingham Barons cleats, and puts Ohtani alongside Jordan and Kobe Bryant as the only athletes whose game-used footwear has cleared $300,000.

Topps: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 1-of-5 Minions parallel sold for $51,100 on eBay

Topps' own account says Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update 1-of-5 red refractor Minions parallel, which renders the reigning MVP as a Minions character in a Thunder uniform, sold for $51,100 on eBay. A 1-of-5 Minions parallel topped Cardboard Connection's most-watched board at 940 watchers days earlier, so the interest was tracking ahead of the sale. We could not independently confirm the exact figure beyond Topps' post, so treat it as a first-party claim.

Basketball Ground: Allen Iverson calls Kyrie Irving the greatest ball handler ever

Allen Iverson stated that Kyrie Irving is the GREATEST BALL HANDLER OF ALL TIME. When asked if he agreed that Kyrie has a more complete handle package than others, Iverson replied, "H*ll yeah, he got the best. Kyrie has the best. He's the best." Iverson noted that Kyrie can completely toy with defenders, explaining that Irving will have an opponent beat and then pull the ball back just to play with them. He also praised Jason "White Chocolate" Williams and Stephen Curry, but firmly crowned Kyrie for having the best handles "ever". (via / The Big Podcast with Shaquille O'Neal)

Basketball Ground surfaced Allen Iverson's comments from The Big Podcast with Shaquille O'Neal, where Iverson crowned Kyrie Irving the greatest ball handler of all time, ahead of Jason Williams and Stephen Curry, for the way Kyrie strings defenders along before pulling the ball back. A barbershop debate the community is happily running with.
