Aaron Donald unretires for the Rams at $20 million

NFL: Aaron Donald un-retirement for LA Rams

Three Aaron Donald threads landed in r/nfl's top twelve the morning after the news, and Sports Illustrated's collectibles desk moved the same day with a roundup of his three biggest card sales.

Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter both reported on August 30 that Donald is ending a two-plus-year retirement to rejoin Los Angeles on a one-year deal worth $20 million, rising to $30 million with playoff incentives, and NFL.com and therams.com confirmed it. He lines up alongside newly acquired Myles Garrett. Sports Illustrated's collectibles desk moved the same day with a roundup of his top three career card sales: a PSA 8 2021 Panini Absolute Kaboom! Green 1-of-1 at $34,770 through Goldin, a BGS 9.5 2014 Prizm Black Finite 1/1 at $30,000 through Fanatics Collect, and a BGS 9.5 2014 National Treasures Century Blue Auto 1/1 at $25,000. Worth knowing what those numbers are before you use them: all three closed before the announcement, in July 2026, May 2026, and October 2020, so they are his ceiling to date rather than a read on what the news did.

Product photos and a release claim posted August 30 by Footy Headlines, the desk's Tier 1 kit source, with no price and no date given.

Footy Headlines posts photos of Napoli's 2026-27 pre-match shirt, Coca-Cola on the chest

White with a sky blue gradient stripe pattern, Coca-Cola in white script across the chest, the SSC Napoli crest and the EA7 logo, and patterned tape on the collar and cuffs. Footy Headlines has product photos and calls the shirt released, quoting its own earlier report on it. Neither post states a price or a calendar date and no manufacturer confirmation has followed, so there is nothing to order yet; this is the look, not the launch.

First-party date and price stated by Topps on August 31, with Checklist Insider's product page carrying the same September 1 presale date and $94.99 price.

Topps opens 2026 Topps Chrome Tennis pre-orders today at noon EST, $94.99 a hobby box

Topps' own account has the pre-order window opening Tuesday, September 1 at 12 PM EST: $94.99 for a hobby box, 12 packs per box, 8 cards per pack, two autographs per box. The announcement graphic leads on a gold Superfractor-pattern Rafael Nadal Clay Court Masters 1-of-1 with an on-card autograph area. Tennis is thin ground for licensed card product, so a Chrome release at flagship pricing is the one to know about; the window is open today.

First-party date and price stated by Topps on August 31; Checklist Insider had carried the same September 3 date as an unconfirmed estimate with no official price.

Topps confirms 2025-26 Chrome Update Basketball Sapphire for Thursday on EQL at $1,799.99

The same Topps post puts 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Basketball Sapphire on EQL on Thursday, September 3 at 12 PM EST: $1,799.99 for a Sapphire Box, 8 packs per box, 4 cards per pack, one autograph per box. When we covered this product on August 29 the date was a third-party estimate, Topps had put no official price on it, and the only figures in circulation were eBay resale listings running from about $3,812 to $9,999. The date is now first-party and the box price is on the record, which puts those resale asks well clear of what a box costs on Thursday. EQL runs it as a draw, so entering is the whole exercise.

Listed on Panini America's own Coming Soon catalog with a link through to its own product page. Confirms the product, not the timing.

Panini lists a 2026 Impeccable WNBA hobby box on its own Coming Soon catalog, no date attached

Panini America's upcoming-products catalog now carries the 2026 Panini Impeccable WNBA Trading Card Box (Hobby), linking through to Panini's own product page. The catalog gives no release date and there is nothing to preorder, so what this tells you is that the product exists, not when it lands. Checklist Insider separately estimates October 9, which Panini has not confirmed, and shows secondary listings running from about $1,040 to $2,639.

Sports Card Investor reports a 2020 Bowman Chrome Ohtani Superfractor 1/1 at $111,000, against $12,200 in 2024

Up almost $100K since the last sale 🤯 This 2020 Bowman Chrome Superfractor Shohei Ohtani 1/1 just sold for $111K on Fanatics Collect. The last time we saw this card sell was in September 2024 for just $12.2K 😳📈

The card is #58 in PSA 9, cert 96028710, sold through Fanatics Collect. The comparison is the point: the same card changed hands in September 2024 for $12,200, and two years of Ohtani is what sits between the two numbers.
