Pete Crow-Armstrong's rookie autograph, up 400% since Opening Day

The Hobby Wire's September market check has the Cubs center fielder's cards running hot while he leads Shohei Ohtani in the NL MVP race.

The Hobby Wire's September 1 market roundup credits a strong August and the NL MVP race, where the Cubs center fielder is running ahead of Shohei Ohtani. This has been building since midsummer: Yahoo Sports flagged the market quietly catching fire back on July 31, off his second All-Star selection and a 20-20 season. The dollar version showed up on our own board two days ago, when our September 3 edition carried a reported $66,000 sale for a 2024 Topps Dynasty Gold rookie patch auto 1/1. Worth being precise about what the 400% is, though: it is the trade press describing a direction across his autographed rookie cards, not a price you can hang on the copy in your box.

Footy Headlines reports the kit was officially unveiled and made available on September 5, 2026.

Al-Nassr unveil their 2026-27 Adidas third kit and put it on sale the same day

Off-white base, with Orbit Grey ornamental motifs running as tonal vertical stripes, a gold Adidas logo and club crest, and the gold Saudi emblem of a palm tree and crossed swords sitting below the collar. Shorts and socks match, off-white with gold accents. Footy Headlines had this design as a leak back in April and has now updated the same page to the official release, which is about as clean a leak-to-launch trail as you get in kit news. It is available from today.

Checklist Insider states a September 16, 2026 release date and publishes the full checklist.

Checklist Insider dates 2026-27 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey to September 16

The base set is 100 cards plus Stars, Greats, and Rookies subsets, and the wrinkle is 40 mystery Rookie Redemption cards, team-based, with the players revealed mid-season. Hobby boxes average two hits, autographs, relics, or tech inserts, plus one redemption or acetate card and one Aurum insert. The Aurum program grows to 84 cards this year with UD Bounty rewards attached. No manufacturer price is posted on the listing, only secondary eBay ranges, so what a box actually costs is still open.

Checklist Insider states an estimated September 18, 2026 release date and a $389.99 hobby box price from the June 9, 2026 Topps presale.

Checklist Insider dates 2025-26 Topps Museum Collection UEFA Club Competitions to September 18, hobby boxes presold at $389.99

Four cards per hobby box carry the weight: one sequentially numbered base parallel, one autograph, one relic, and one autograph-relic. The base set runs 100 cards across the major European clubs. Two caveats on the numbers above: Checklist Insider labels September 18 an estimated date rather than a confirmed one, and the $389.99 is the price boxes went out at when Topps opened presales on June 9, not a figure anyone is guaranteeing on release day.

Checklist Insider states a September 23, 2026 release date and an eight-card hobby box, down from 72 in prior years.

Checklist Insider dates 2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey to September 23, with 8 cards a box instead of 72

The format change is the story. One pack per hobby box, eight cards in it, down from 72 in prior years, all on 60-point-plus acetate stock. Every box guarantees an autograph, a relic, and a numbered Ice Premieres rookie, so the hit rate per card goes up as the card count falls. Base is 100 cards with Red, Green, Gold, and Champagne Gold parallels, and new inserts join returning Sub Zero Rookies, Dry Ice, Exquisite Crystal, and Glacial Graphs. No manufacturer price is posted, only secondary eBay ranges, so the per-card math stays a guess until one is.

Surfaced in r/baseballcards' top-of-day feed on September 4; the score and comment count were unavailable this run, so the read comes from the poster rather than thread replies.

An r/baseballcards collector shows a 1990s Andruw Jones die-cut numbered /1999, picked up in a card-show trade

It came from a vendor at a show who deals in 90s and 00s cards, and the poster's own line is the whole point: "you rarely see low numbered 90s cards like this that don't cost a fortune." That is the case against the junk wax label in one sentence, since the decade's reputation for overprinting sits awkwardly next to insert and die-cut runs that were genuinely numbered. No dollar figure appears anywhere in the post, and we are not putting one on it.

Surfaced in r/baseballcards' top-of-day feed on September 4; the release-era box price checks out in search, the $1,400 plus figure is the poster's claim only.

An r/baseballcards collector recalls paying $80 a box for 2018 Topps Gallery and says the same boxes now go for $1,400 plus

The post is a photo from a 2018 hunt through Gallery boxes, back when it was a retail product nobody was setting aside. "It was the Wild West prior to covid," the poster writes. A search backs up the release-era price point, roughly $70 to $80 a box, but the $1,400 plus resale figure is the poster's own claim and we did not match it to a sold listing, so read it as one collector's account rather than a verified sale.

This Yamal rookie is clean 😤 A 2023 Topps Chrome UEFA Japan Edition Cherry Blossom Lamine Yamal MBA Silver PSA 10 sold for $18,000.

A Cherry Blossom parallel in MBA Silver, PSA 10, from the Japan edition of Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League. No marketplace is named and no listing is linked, and the post calls it a 2023 edition while the slab in the photo reads 2023-24, so the $18,000 is the poster's own figure.

Best Cards Ever posts a $29,100 sale for a 1999 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Jerry Rice, numbered /50

JERRY RICE PMG SALE 💎 A 1999 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems PMG Jerry Rice /50 MBA Gold PSA 7 sold for $29,100.

A PMG out of a run of 50, MBA Gold, in a PSA 7 holder. Same caveat as the Yamal post above: no marketplace is named, no listing is linked, and the serial's position inside the /50 run is not visible in the photo, so the $29,100 is the poster's own figure.
