The Heat introduced Thompson on August 25 with a new number, and four Klay Thompson swingman styles are already listed in the team store.

Thompson signed a two-year deal worth roughly $13 million after Dallas bought out the final year of his contract, and at his August 25 introductory press conference he confirmed he will wear No. 11, not the 31 he wore with the Mavericks. The number change is the part that matters if you are buying: a Mavericks Klay and a Heat Klay are now two different jerseys, and neither one is the Warriors 11 most fans already own. The Heat store already lists four Klay Thompson swingman styles, Nike HEAT Culture, Original Vice, Association White, and Icon Black.

Topps will cut every NFL rookie's Debut Patch into a 1-of-1 autographed card, Schefter reports

Starting this season every NFL rookie wears a Debut Patch on the jersey, part of Topps coming back as the league's official trading card licensee. After that rookie's first on-field appearance the patch comes off the jersey and goes into a 1-of-1 autographed card. Topps announced the program on August 26 and the cards are expected in sealed product in 2027, so there is nothing to buy yet, just a reason to pay attention to which rookies actually debut and when.

Panini America posted a look at the on-card autographs going into Origins and Noir Basketball: rookies VJ Edgecombe, Tre Johnson, and Carter Bryant, plus signatures pulled in from Flawless, National Treasures, and other Panini brands. The date is still the soft part. Collector Nation's tracker has Origins for August 28 and some retailers list Noir the same day, but as we flagged yesterday that Origins date has already moved once, from August 19.
