The $515 pull that turned down $3.6 million

Cooper Flagg's 1-of-1 Rookie Debut auto opens at Fanatics Collect on September 10, with Goldin, Alt, and the Mavericks already turned away.

The card is a PSA Gem Mint 10 Rookie Debut Patch Autograph from 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update, numbered 1-of-1, and it came out of a $515 box-break spot at a Rhode Island card shop on August 10. Since then the owner has turned down a $1.5 million Auction Cash Advance from Goldin, a $3.6 million offer from Alt, and a 32-year season-ticket package from the Dallas Mavericks. It is the same card unveiled at Fanatics Fest in July, and it now goes into Fanatics Collect's September Premier Auction, running September 10 to 24 with 1/1 Rookie Debut autographs of Dylan Harper and Kon Knueppel alongside it. Sports Collectors Digest puts the estimated sale value at $5 to $6 million.

Beckett News states an October 6, 2026 release date, subject to change, along with the full hobby box configuration and the named celebrity autographs.

Beckett dates 2026 Topps Mars Attacks Christmas to October 6, with Tyson, Rodman, and Goldblum autographs

Hobby boxes are 10 packs of 5 cards, 20 boxes to a case, built on a 50-card base set with 25 special character cards on top. The autographs sit in the Caught in the Crossfire subset, where Beckett names Mike Tyson, Dennis Rodman, and Jeff Goldblum, and Invasion Worn Relics carry the memorabilia side. Presales opened September 8, per Checklist Insider in our September 3 edition, but the release date was still TBA then, so October 6 is the new part. Beckett flags the date as subject to change.

Cardlines states a September 18, 2026 release date and hobby boxes preselling at roughly $740 to $850, in its September 7 rundown of the month's releases.

Eight cards a box, and Cardlines breaks the average down to five autographs, one memorabilia card, and two base, parallel, or insert cards. Spotlight Signatures and Sneaker Spotlight Signatures both return, and the rookie autograph class is VJ Edgecombe, Tre Johnson, and Jeremiah Fears, the same names Panini put in our August 27 preview, which ran with no confirmed date. Note that the $740 to $850 is what boxes are preselling for, not a Panini list price.

Topps opened hobby preorders at $124.99 a box, the price we carried on August 26, and Cardlines now has secondary presales running $400 to $450 before a box has shipped. Inside is 12 cards across 3 packs, drawn from a 60-card checklist with Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr., Mike Trout, Derek Jeter, and Ken Griffey Jr., plus hard-signed autographs named for Ohtani, Judge, Jeter, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki. The September 28 general release date is unchanged, and Topps still lists it as subject to change.

Two informed camps in one r/baseballcards thread on September 9: several commenters call the base set worthless, others name the Paul Blair autograph and a Steven Jackson card as the pieces worth keeping.

The cards were given to the poster's father decades ago and never sorted, and he came into the sub asking what he actually had: what he takes for a full set from the '06/07 season' plus older oddballs, including non-sport cinema-star inserts of Grace Kelly and Tippi Hedren. The thread answered in two halves. One camp said the base set is worth nothing and can go in the bin; the other picked out individual cards, above all an autographed Paul Blair, with one commenter noting you don't see Paul Blair autos often, and a Steven Jackson. Another pointed him at eBay sold and completed listings so he could comp the autographs himself, which is the move if a box like this ever lands on you.

Futebol Nostálgico marks 138 years since the first English Football League season and names all 12 founding clubs

1888 — 138 years ago: the first season of the English Football League began, considered the world's first national football league. The inaugural edition brought together 12 clubs.

The account's own vintage-style poster lines up the modern crests of the twelve clubs that played that 1888 season: Accrington, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley, Derby County, Everton, Notts County, Preston North End, Stoke, West Bromwich Albion, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. The card is a 2013 Prizm Finite Prizm #64, serial numbered 1/1 and graded PSA 10, cert 22635107 off the slab in the post's photo, and 2013 is Brady's fourteenth season, so this is not a rookie. The most-expensive-Brady-non-rookie framing is Sports Card Investor's own claim, not something we could verify.

This is Jordan from the Birmingham Barons detour, a baseball card of the most collected basketball player there is, which is most of why it lands where it does. PSA 8 with a 7 on the PSA/DNA autograph grade, and Card Ladder dates the REA sale to September 1.
